Building Strategies

Daylighting

Allowing natural light to enter the building reduces the demand of electrical lighting. Placing glazing in key locations and utilizing shading devices can permit light without considerable heat gain. Daylighting strategies can include skylights, light-reflecting tubes, surface coloring and other strategies.
