Design

Our programs and initiatives include design platforms, strategies and tools; benchmarks, targets and policies; and professional education and high-performance districts.

It's all about
Challenges...

We issued the 2030 Challenges as achievable energy and emissions reduction targets for new and old buildings, districts and cities, and building products.

... and
Opportunities

All our programs and initiatives help architects and organizations meet the 2030 Challenges, or expand the scope of the Challenges across the built environment.

Roadmap to Zero Emissions

Roadmap to Zero Emissions

The Roadmap to Zero Emissions is a flexible plan that sets out the emissions reduction targets necessary in the building sector worldwide to avert dangerous and irreversible climate change, including the actions and financing instruments needed to reach the targets.

Urban Climate Initiative

Urban Climate Initiative

The Urban Climate Initiative provides the framework for government entities to put in place incremental building sector actions to be taken over a fifteen-year timespan that will ensure phasing out CO2 emissions in the built environment by mid-century.
